FieldMetrix Desktop facilitates communication between mobile
workers
and management using a workflow methodology. As workflows
are completed, the results are updated in a central
database. FieldMetrix includes a number of key reports that
allow
managers to respond proactively to situations as they arise;
for example if
tasks are skipped or priority jobs are behind schedule.
Workflows created for mobile employees can be tailored to
suit the requirements of your business. Each workflow
consists of a list of jobs that need to be completed by the
mobile employee. Each job is made up of a variety of task
information; such as address or route information, pickup or
delivery information; client signatures, or item barcodes.
Jobs can also contain client questionnaires, images that
need to be captured, or standard operating procedures for
mobile employees.
The mobile component of FieldMetrix is installed on a
Windows Mobile handheld and allows mobile employees to
capture the information associated with their workflows.
Mobile users can enter data, obtain signatures, scan
barcodes, collect images, record audio clips, take notes and
these are automatically transmitted to the FieldMetrix
server using available wireless connectivity and our
FieldMetrix communications platform.
FieldMetrix supports "store and forward", meaning that
mobile users can continue to work when there is no internet
connectivity. Data is cached on the device until
connectivity is restored, at which time the data is
synchronized to the FieldMetrix Desktop.
Using the FieldMetrix Integrator API you can import and
export data to and from your existing enterprise systems.
