This demo video shows Joe Mobile being assigned tasks using the Data Entry Wizard. Joe drives to a client location and performs a vehicle tracker installation. The job involves barcode scanning, completing a check-list form, annotating an install diagram, snapping a picture showing proof of condition and ends with a client signoff.
In this demo video the hapless Joe Mobile captures vehicle information using an Ad Hoc form. Vehicle specifics such as year, make and model as well as a picture and signature are required.
Demonstrates how a signature is captured on the device. The signature is a vector image resulting in a very small data packet (~3KB). Signatures are encrypted before being transmitted.
The Address task specifies a destination address and includes the appropriate contact details, map location and turn by turn directions.
Draw or annotate images and wire diagrams using the Sketch task to keep an audit log of maintenance issues. FieldMetrix transmits the sketch as vectors reducing bandwidth usage.
User customizable forms allow for easy data capture incorporating date time pickers and pre-filled drop-down lists in addition to embedded signature and image capture.
There are number for options for barcode scanning; simply scan items, scan items against a master barcode inventory, count barcode scan totals or scan new barcode items into inventory.
Capture pictures and images in PNG or JPG format to record damaged items or areas of interest. You can crop, rotate and alter image brightness as required.
Items lists are used for field sales and field service. Perform real time checks against sales inventory for field sales as well as track the items used on maintenance jobs.
On occassion you may need to capture plain text results. For example, after the installation of equipment saving the test reference number, or saving the MAC address of newly installed devices.
The note options are customizable per task type and can be maintained by the administrator using the FieldMetrix web application. This ensures a discrete list of notes are applicable to each task.
In certain situations it's preferable to capture information as an audio clip or voice note. FieldMetrix uses high compression encoding to ensure that the resulting sound clips use as little bandwidth as possible.
Use the notifications task to email data capture results to managers or clients as proof of job completion. A PDF of the results and all associated GPS fix and time metrics is created and emailed out to the recipients.
